"Event planner Lisa Vorce wanted a custom invitation that would create conversation and excitement about her clients’ upcoming Native American-inspired wedding in the desert of Arizona. Drawing from those influences, we designed the form and function of a small teepee, complete with skewers as support beams."

Device is a design studio based in Winston-Salem, NC, honoring the craft and getting our hands dirty as often as possible.

Incredible Photo Manipulations by Erik Johansson | via

There’s Photoshop experts and then there’s this guy. Erik Johansson is a full time photographer and retoucher from Berlin, Germany. Sure anyone can take photos, touch them up in Photoshop and call themselves a photographer, but Erik has some raw talent and ridiculous amounts of creativity.

Erik’s photo manipulations may just be some of the best in the world. He’s been commissioned to work with some big names including Adobe, Microsoft and Google. You might have even seen some of his work floating around the web, they’re very popular, and it’s easy to see why.

Chief Quanah Parker (ca.1845 or 1852 – February 23, 1911) was Comanche/Scots-Irish from the Comanche band Noconis (“Wanderers” or “Travelers”), and emerged as a dominant figure, particularly after the ‘Comanches’ final defeat. The US appointed Quanah principal chief of the entire nation once the people had gathered on the reservation and later introduced general elections. Quanah was a Comanche chief, a leader in the Native American Church, and the last leader of the powerful Quahadi band before they surrendered their battle of the Great Plains and went to a reservation in Indian Territory. He was the son of Comanche chief Peta Nocona and Cynthia Ann Parker, a European American, who had been kidnapped at the age of nine and assimilated into the tribe. Quanah Parker also led his people on the reservation, where he became a wealthy rancher and influential in Comanche and European American society.
